SPORT BRINGS FAMILIES. FAMILIES BRING BUSINESS.™
Support Sports in Your City™ connects local businesses with sports families and gives local participants an opportunity to help build those advertising relationships.
The idea is simple.
Sports families already spend money in their communities.
Local businesses want those customers.
Support Sports in Your City™ helps connect them.
Sport Brings Families Together
Sport creates communities.
Players participate.
Parents attend.
Families travel.
Teams compete.
Tournaments bring additional families into cities throughout the year.
Every one of those activities creates economic activity.
Support Sports in Your City™ strengthens the connection between that sports economy and the local businesses that serve it.
Local Businesses Want Those Customers
Businesses participate through advertising.
This is important.
Support Sports in Your City™ is not simply asking local businesses for donations.
We are offering them an advertising opportunity.
Participating businesses can introduce their products and services to sports families while demonstrating their support for sport in their community.
The relationship should provide value on both sides.
Businesses gain exposure.
Sports families discover businesses that want to serve them.
Local Participants Make the Connection
Parents, Players, students, and other local participants can help introduce suitable businesses to Support Sports in Your City™.
They may already know a business owner.
Perhaps they work for a local company.
Their family may regularly use a business that would benefit from reaching other sports families.
Sometimes the most valuable connection already exists within the community.
Support Sports in Your City™ helps turn those relationships into advertising opportunities.
Advertising Creates an Earning Opportunity
Local participants who help generate advertising relationships can share in the advertising revenue they help create under the agreed program terms.
The distinction is important.
Participation alone does not automatically entitle you to revenue.
Someone who helps develop business can earn from that contribution.
For a Hockey parent, those earnings could help offset some of the family’s Hockey expenses.
A student could earn money while developing practical sales, marketing, and business experience.
Players approaching College or working age could begin learning skills that may eventually lead to careers inside or outside sport.
The opportunity comes from contributing to the program’s growth.
Families Discover Participating Businesses
Sports families can use Support Sports in Your City™ to discover participating local businesses and the products or services they provide.
There is no obligation to purchase from an advertiser.
Families decide what is useful to them.
The objective is simply to create the connection.
SPORTS FAMILIES
Discover local businesses.
LOCAL BUSINESSES
Reach sports families.
LOCAL PARTICIPANTS
Help create advertising relationships and earn from the business they generate.
What Could This Look Like?
Consider a Hockey parent who knows the owner of a local restaurant.
The restaurant wants more family business and sees value in reaching Hockey families.
The parent introduces the business to Support Sports in Your City™.
If that introduction develops into an advertising relationship under the program, the parent can participate in the advertising revenue generated through their work.
The restaurant receives advertising.
Sports families discover another local business.
The parent creates an opportunity to earn.
And the advertising dollars remain connected to the community that helped generate them.
Support Sports in Your City™ will begin with Hockey.
That gives us an established sports community in which to develop, test, and improve the program.
Hockey families understand the financial commitment it takes to support children through the game.
They also represent a significant consumer community.
Connecting those families with businesses that want to serve them creates an opportunity to help both sides.
But the concept does not end with Hockey.
From Hockey to Other Sports
The same economic relationship exists throughout youth and amateur sport.
Families participate.
Businesses serve those families.
Local people already have relationships within their communities.
Support Sports in Your City™ can eventually connect those pieces across different sports and different cities.
The objective remains the same:
